CALL FOR PAPERS
"Empowerment" ist ein vielfach beachtetes Konzept in
zahlreichen Feldern der Sozialen Arbeit. Es zielt auf individueller,
kollektiver und organisationaler Ebene auf Maßnahmen und Strategien ab, die den
Grad der Selbstbestimmung und Autonomie im Leben von Menschen und
Gemeinschaften erhöhen – insbesondere durch die selbstverantwortliche
Vertretung der jeweiligen Interessen. "Empowerment"-Praxen und -Standpunkte
haben auch in zahlreichen sozialen Bewegungen und kollektiven Ansätzen der
Organisierung eine wichtige Rolle gespielt.
Das Fachforum Soziale Arbeit, Empowerment &
kollektive Organisierung zielt auf eine kritische Würdigung von Theorie und
Praxis von "Empowerment" und die Weiterentwicklung von theoretischen und
praktischen Perspektiven jenseits einer neoliberalen Indienstnahme. Wir laden
konzeptionell-theoretische Beiträge und empirische Analysen zu Ansätzen,
Traditionslinien, Möglichkeiten, Grenzen und Ambivalenzen von "Empowerment" in
Kontexten Sozialer Arbeit sowie Ansätzen kollektiver Organisierung ein.
Wir
freuen uns über "Empowerment"-Projekte, die sich im Rahmen des Forums vorstellen
möchten.
Bitte senden Sie Ihr abstract im Umfang von maximal 500

05.01.2018 benachrichtigt.
Die Veranstaltung findet in deutscher und englischer
Sprache (z.T. Simultanübersetzung) statt.
'Empowerment' is a widely recognized concept in many
fields of social work. At individual, collective and organizational levels, it
aims at measures and strategies that increase the degree of self-determination
and autonomy in the lives of people and communities - in particular through the
independent representation of their respective interests. 'Empowerment' practices and attitudes have also played an
important role in many social movements and collective organizing approaches.
The expert forum on social work, empowerment and
collective organization aims at a critical appraisal of the theory and practice
of 'empowerment' and the further development of theoretical and practical
perspectives beyond neoliberal exploitation. We invite conceptual-theoretical
contributions and empirical studies on approaches, traditions, possibilities,
limits and ambivalences of 'empowerment' in social work contexts as well as
approaches of collective organization.
We are looking forward to 'empowerment' projects that would
like to introduce themselves within the forum.

Authors of accepted contributions will be notified by
05.01.2018.
The event will be held in German and English (in some
cases simultaneous translation).
The forum will be held in cooperation with the School of
Social Work of the University of Connecticut.
